ZoneAlarmZoneAlarm has given the computer users in this household a comfort level that bordered on taking it for granted... Until old Mrs. Wizard had to replace an old laptop with a new one, and the new one had Vista on it. ZoneLabs didn't have a final version ready for Vista until about 2 weeks after the new computer was delivered. The old gal had to get along with the Vista firewall. Everything sounded good about it, but it wasn't until she was finally able to install the latest version of ZoneAlarm on the new Vista machine, she realized what she had been missing. There is still a FREE Version of the ZoneAlarm Firewall, and that is what I have on the laptop for review purposes, but we also have ZoneAlarm Pro on our main machine. It is certainly worth paying for great, and simple security. I have not tried and cannot Visit the ZoneAlarm Website to learn more and download

ZoneAlarm checks everything coming into your machine as well as everything going out of your machine. You just can't imagine the number of software applications that think they need to "phone home" periodically. Not only does ZoneAlarm check everything, but it makes sure you know about it, and are able to make the decicision for yourself if you want something to access the Internet. I love it! You don't need to be a brain surgeon to use it, and it pretty well sets itself up, so installation is very straightforward. All software should be this easy to use.
speak for the entire security suite, but the Firewall is GREAT!
